You’ll enter the Draa Valley’s interior, a lush oasis replete with traditional Berber towns and palm groves, on the way to Zagora. The tour’s high point is going to be in Zagora, where you’ll be enthralled with the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, an endless stretch of sand that is visually stunning. As your trip comes to an end, you’ll stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site well-known for its historic kasbah and winding lanes. Your first stop is Kalaat Magouna, renowned for its vibrant rose fields that bloom in shades of pink and red, filling the air with a sweet fragrance during the rose harvest season. Take a moment to explore the local market, where you can find an array of rose-derived products, from perfumes to skincare essentials. Continuing your journey, the road winds its way through the dramatic Dades Gorges, characterized by towering rock formations and deep ravines carved by the Dades River over millions of years. Stop at various viewpoints along the way to admire the breathtaking scenery and capture memorable photos of the rugged landscape. The second day of our 4 days Ouarzazate to Merzouga desert tour will begin with a sumptuous breakfast before we head to the Todra Gorges for a stroll beneath the 300-meter-tall cliffs. Then, proceed to Merzouga, where a knowledgeable camel guy and camels will be waiting to transport us over the magnificent sand dunes for around 30 minutes till we arrive at the camp. Spend the evening beneath the sky with the locals.
Your journey takes you from the beautiful desert town of Merzouga, famous for its towering sand dunes and mesmerizing sunsets, towards the historic village of Nkob. Along the way, you'll traverse the scenic route through the Draa Valley, characterized by its lush palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and traditional Berber villages. Make a stop in Nkob to explore its maze-like streets lined with centuries-old mud-brick buildings, offering a glimpse into Morocco's rich cultural heritage. Continue your journey towards Zagora, known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert, where you can immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of the Draa Valley and witness the timeless allure of this ancient land.
Your adventure continues as you depart from Zagora, tracing your way back towards Ouarzazate. Along the route, you'll pass through the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Draa Valley, with its lush palm groves and traditional Berber villages. Your first notable stop is Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its ancient kasbah, a fortified village constructed from mud-brick that has served as the backdrop for numerous films and TV shows.
