You will begin your adventure with a drive to Ait Baha on Day 1 of your trip, which will commence in Agadir. Nestled in the Anti-Atlas Mountains, this quaint community provides an insight into the way of life of the Moroccan people. You'll go on from Ait Baha to Tafraoute, which is well-known for its breathtaking scenery and unusual pink granite outcrops. The road travels through breathtaking landscape that foreshadows the various experiences that lie ahead, including verdant valleys and mountainous mountains. The distinctive, gorgeous location of Tafraoute and the friendly locals will welcome you and get you ready for an exciting few days in the heart of Morocco.
You will leave Tafraoute today and travel to Ait Kine, a peaceful community renowned for its natural beauty and historic architecture. From there, your trip will take you to the striking Messalite Caves, an intriguing geological location that features prehistoric cave paintings and naturally occurring rock formations. You'll go to Tata, a charming village renowned for its historical significance and breathtaking desert vistas, after exploring the caverns. The journey from Messalite to Tata provides the opportunity to take in the tranquil environment of southern Morocco in addition to providing stunning views of the untamed landscape. You will have the chance to see the native way of life and spend the evening in this charming town when you arrive in Tata.
You will depart from Tata today and travel to Tissint, a little town known for its unique charm and the surrounding scenic splendor. You will go to Foum Zguid, a major entry point to the Sahara Desert, from Tissint. This is the ideal place to pause and see the striking desert vistas and moving sand dunes. You keep traveling until you reach Erg Chigaga, one of the most famous and large dune fields in the Sahara. Here, you can take in the vastness of the golden dunes in the desert and be in awe of the constantly shifting patterns the wind has made. You will camp in the desert at the end of the day, where you will have a traditional Moroccan dinner and a memorable night beneath the Sahara's stars.
After leaving the magnificent Erg Chigaga dunes, you'll head toward Tamegroute, a historic village renowned for its antiquated library and customary green ceramics. You will travel through the lovely Draa Valley, known for its verdant oases and verdant palm groves, after touring Tamegroute. The valley, with its lush greenery and historic kasbahs, presents a striking contrast to the surrounding arid terrain. In Agdz, a quaint village tucked away beside the Draa River, your day comes to an end. You can relax and take in the tranquil atmosphere of Agdz, relishing the unique fusion of natural beauty and historical legacy that characterizes this remarkable area.
On the fifth day, you will depart from Agdz and go to the Bab Ben Ali Pass, a striking mountain pass that provides expansive views of the surroundings. After crossing the pass, you'll enter the picturesque Dades Valley, which is renowned for its eye-catching rock formations and verdant surroundings. You'll meander through the bustling souks, where the vibrant hues of fabrics and pottery and the potent aromas of spices create a sensory extravaganza. The tour will also include visits to the majestic Bahia Palace, known for its intricate design and attractive grounds, and the Saadian Tombs, an important historical monument. Savor the lively atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa square, which has street performers, food carts, and traditional music. You'll leave Marrakech today and travel to Essaouira, a beach city.
