Itinerary
Upon arrival in Marrakech, our driver from Morocco Meander will be there to greet you at the airport. You will then be escorted to your riad, where you can settle in and start your adventure in Morocco.
After a delicious breakfast at your riad, we’ll set off on a journey from Marrakech to Casablanca. In Casablanca, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world. After exploring Casablanca, we’ll continue our journey to the city of Fes, renowned for its ancient medina and rich cultural heritage. Upon arrival in Fes, you’ll check into your traditional riad, where you can relax and unwind. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the nearby streets and savor a delicious dinner at your riad.
After breakfast at your riad, you’ll embark on a full day of sightseeing in Fes with a local licensed guide. Your tour will begin with a visit to the medieval Fes el-Bali medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you’ll explore its narrow winding streets, bustling souks, and historic monuments. Highlights include the Al Quaraouiyine University, the world’s oldest continually operating university, and the stunning Bou Inania Madrasa. You’ll also visit the Nejjarine Fountain, the vibrant Chouara Tannery, and the Mellah (Jewish Quarter). Lunch will be at a traditional Moroccan restaurant, offering a taste of authentic Fassi cuisine. In the afternoon, your guide will take you to the Royal Palace, Dar Batha Museum, and the tranquil Jnan Sbil Gardens. The day will conclude with a panoramic view of the city from a nearby vantage point before returning to your riad for a relaxing evening.
After an early breakfast, we’ll depart Fes and journey towards Merzouga, passing through the charming town of Midelt. As we drive through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, you’ll enjoy picturesque landscapes, cedar forests, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the Barbary apes that inhabit the area. We’ll stop in Midelt for a leisurely lunch, giving you time to explore this small town known for its apple orchards and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Continuing our journey, we’ll pass through the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and ksour (ancient fortified villages). As we approach Merzouga, the majestic sand dunes of the Sahara Desert will come into view. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your desert camp or hotel. In the evening, you’ll have the chance to experience a camel ride into the dunes, witnessing the breathtaking sunset over the Sahara. Dinner will be served under the stars, accompanied by traditional Berber music and stories around the campfire.
Wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over the Sahara dunes, followed by a hearty breakfast at your desert camp. We’ll then begin our journey from Merzouga to the Dades Valley, with several exciting stops along the way. Our first stop will be in Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and date palm orchards. You can visit a local workshop to see how ancient fossils are turned into beautiful artifacts. Continuing our drive, we’ll head towards the Todra Gorges, one of Morocco’s most spectacular natural sights. The dramatic cliffs, carved by the Todra River, reach heights of up to 300 meters, creating a breathtaking canyon. Here, you’ll have time to explore the gorges, take a walk along the river, and enjoy the stunning scenery. After lunch in the Todra Gorges, we’ll continue our journey to the Dades Valley. Known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs,” the Dades Valley is dotted with ancient fortresses and offers some of the most picturesque landscapes in Morocco. As we drive through the valley, you’ll see impressive rock formations and traditional Berber villages. We’ll arrive at your hotel or guesthouse in the Dades Valley in the late afternoon, where you can relax and unwind. Enjoy a delicious dinner and soak in the serene atmosphere of this beautiful region.
After breakfast, we’ll depart from the Dades Valley and head towards Marrakech, with several fascinating stops along the way. Our first destination will be Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Here, you’ll have the chance to visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah, a historic fortress that offers a glimpse into traditional Moroccan architecture and history. Ouarzazate is also known for its film studios, where many Hollywood blockbusters have been filmed. Next, we’ll drive to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village (ksar) that has been remarkably preserved. This iconic location has served as a backdrop for numerous films and TV shows, such as “Gladiator” and “Game of Thrones.” You’ll have time to explore the narrow alleys and climb to the top of the hill for panoramic views of the surrounding area. After lunch in Ait Ben Haddou, we’ll continue our journey, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, which offers stunning vistas and photo opportunities. As we descend towards Marrakech, you’ll notice the landscape gradually changing from rugged mountains to lush plains. We’ll arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon or early evening, where you’ll be escorted to your riad. The rest of the evening is yours to relax or explore the vibrant city at your own pace. Enjoy a delicious dinner at your riad or at one of the many excellent restaurants in the city.

Afterwards, we’ll visit the Bahia Palace, a stunning example of Moroccan architecture with its intricate stucco work and beautiful gardens. Our next stop is the Saadian Tombs, where you can admire the intricate marble carvings and learn about the fascinating history of this royal necropolis. We’ll then head to the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where you can experience the lively atmosphere of Marrakech with its street performers, musicians, and storytellers. In the evening, you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at a local restaurant or return to your riad for a relaxing evening.
After breakfast, our driver will transfer you to Marrakech Menara Airport for your departure flight. As you bid farewell to Morocco, you can reflect on the unforgettable experiences and memories you’ve made during your journey through this beautiful country.
