Come, experience this yoga retreat from Marrakech and enjoy the silence of the meditation upon the silky sands of vast desert space of Erg Chigaga. Feel the apricot light of the setting sun rest your spirit and drift away into peaceful sleep under the cupola of the Milky Way. Be wowed by the cerulean blue sky and explosive lemon sunrise as you practice in this spellbinding landscape. This yoga retreat from Marrakech is designed to soothe the soul. And nuture your senses by combining practices of Yin yoga Meditation (Dhyama), breath work (Pranayama), Vinyasa flow, Hatha yoga. In close connection with nature, camel trekking, camping and of course wonderful company and a lot of fun. The tour will be accompanied by Ms. Jacqueline who is a 600 hour Yoga Alliance registered teacher (specializing in restorative, yin, hatha, vinyasa, ashtanga, aerial). Mindfulness & meditation instructor to children and adults, continuing education provider, and cognitive behavior therapy practitioner and guide. Her yoga journey began 20 years ago and has brought her all over the world to learn and share the knowledge she acquires along the way. Her aspiration is to help others apply traditional teachings to everyday life to free ourselves from our own suffering. Cultivate a light hearted, high-spirited, healthy mind full of childlike wonder, and essentially live life as an experiment for the benefit of all beings, everywhere.
NOTE ! This yoga retreat from Marrakech requires a minimum of 4 people to proceed. All guests must take responsibility for their own medical and physical fitness to participate in the activities.

Itinerary
The drivers will meet you at your accommodation at 10am. Leave Marrakech behind to venture into Atlas Mountains and its dense forests via one of the most winding and dramatic routes in Morocco. Reach the Tizi n’Tichka pass 2200 meters high to enter the Great South. Skirt through Ouarzazate then cross the Draa gorges. The panorama of the legendary Draa Valley unfolds before your eyes. Admire the palm groves of Agdez part of the Draa Valley Cultural landscape.
After breakfast at 9am the drivers will meet you to continue our yoga journey with a stop at Kasbah of Tamnougalte, in the the heart of the Draa Valley.We visit Haritine village and the main kasbah. From here follow the road through the panoramic view in Tissergate where you will see thousands of palm trees before reaching Zagora,famous for the best dates and watermelons. The stoves of Tamegroute cast the emerald glaze so easily identified on mosque tiles, dishes and pots across Morocco. The nearby Nassiria library holds a 10-century old gold- engraved Koran and various treaties on astronomy, medicine and Arab poetry among other gems. We recommend visiting a traditional ksour and having lunch in Mhamid. before leaving the asphalt behind and take on the Sahara. Towards the dunes of Erg Chigaga. Arriving at the edge of the golden sand dunes we leave the vehicles and board the Desert ships our gentle camels, to sail into the wavy desert dunes. Guided expertly our guides will stop at the perfect time to observe the Golden hour. As daylight disappears the sand changes colour and the sounds and sights of the landscapes change as the desert magic casts its spell. This spectacular night will be rendered memorable with a unique and traditional starlit Berber dinner feast, complete with tribal music (Drums) around a desert campfire.
Today is more of a relaxing day. After breakfast your drivers will take you to visit some of the local nomads in order to see their style of life and to enjoy each other’s company while drinking a cup of tea offered to you with genuine Moroccan warmth and friendship. Visit also the sacred oasis of Oum Laalag then lunch in the camp. In the afternoon the camels will gently step you through the desert sands to the highest dunes for your yoga practice. Under the splendour of the sunset and the smoothing sounds of the sand shifting you will connect completely with yourself and the spirit of the desert.
Wake up early to admire the sunrise and stroll around the dunes. Later on, you will take on the hamada (rocky desert) and cross the dry lake Iriki. Have tea with the nomads, hunt for fossils before we rejoin the sealed roads heading to Foum Zguid. Have a tasty lunch by the pool at Bab Rimal or perhaps kefta in the village. Heading West we arrive at Tazenakht, very famous for its huge selection of Berber rugs with an orange weft and woven by the Ouaouzguite tribe and then to UNESCO’s wolrd site Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah where we gonna spend the overnight.
After our yoga session and breakfast, take the time to explore the picturesque village of Ait Ben Haddou, which has often been used as a film location. Built near water and arable land. From here continue north to Telouet kasbah that was one of the principal residences of Al-Thami el-glaoui, pasha of Marrakech, whose fiefdom covered a large part of High Atlas. After the visit we continue our road to cross the high Atlas Mountains again befpre reaching Marrakech and end this younique yoga journey in the late evening of the day.
